AN APPLICATION IN 4 EASY STEPS

We understand that making a decision as to where to place your child in school is a big one, and we feel honoured that you are considering us.

 

Oakview Academy is not restricted by zoned areas.

 

APPLICATIONS FOR THE CURRENT SCHOOL YEAR 

We will consider APPLICATION from January to September for the current year for all grades so that a child may begin as soon as possible after a successful application.

 

APPLICATIONS IN ADVANCE FOR THE NEXT NEW SCHOOL YEAR 

We will consider APPLICATIONS from January to December in the year before for all grades so that a child may begin in the January of the new school year after a successful application.

 

We would like to meet each of our prospective new parents and guide them through the process of the application. Enrol your child at our school by following the 4 easy steps below.

 

STEP 1: COMPLETE AND SUBMIT THE APPLICATION ENQUIRY FORM

  • Download and complete the application enquiry form from this page or you are welcome to collect a copy directly from the school

STEP 2: ATTEND AN INTERVIEW AT THE SCHOOL

  • Upon submission of the application enquiry form, if there is space available in the applicable classroom for the learner’s age group an interview appointment will be set up, (either individually or in a small group with other prospective new parents), and for this initial meeting, we request if possible for both parents to attend.

 

STEP 3:  COMPLETE AND SUBMIT THE APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION FORM

  • Parents will receive an application for admission form after they have attended the interview.​

 

STEP 4: ADMISSION

  • A decision will be made:

    • after receiving the completed application for admission form, (please be aware that supporting documentation will be required with the form),

    • and, after your child has spent an introductory time at the school, (a learner must benefit from the Oakview Academy’s mainstream curriculum, and if necessary additional visit days may be requested).​

  • If the application is successful your child will be registered into the school and parents will receive further instruction to secure your child's position.
